Authorize SketchUp with a single-user license

Modified on Wed, 13 Nov at 4:25 PM

Please note: This concerns Classic licenses, if you have a Subscription you can simply log in with your Trimble ID

You will need internet access to authorize your Classic SketchUp Pro 2019 or later. For the techies out there: when you authorize SketchUp Pro, SketchUp will communicate with the authorization server using the standard ports 80, 8080, and 443. If you use a proxy or firewall , allow SketchUp Pro to communicate on these ports with the *.sketchup.com domain.

1. If you have not yet downloaded and installed SketchUp , do so first.

2. Open SketchUp.

Windows:  If you encounter any issues activating your license, close SketchUp, right-click on the installer and choose "Run as Administrator". Then choose "Repair".

1. In the “Welcome to SketchUp” window, click on the “Classic” tab at the top and then click on the blue Add License button in the window.

You can also open the dialog window via [menu]Help->Manage license

2. Open the license confirmation email you received shortly after purchasing your license.

3. Copy and paste your serial number and authorization code into the dialog box.

4. Click Add License.

5. Alternatively, you can copy and paste the entire license information into the "Advanced.." section.
