I can't activate my SketchUp Pro Classic license

Modified on Wed, 13 Nov at 4:22 PM

One of the following situations probably applies to you:

1. Your serial number and authorization codes do not match the SketchUp Pro version you are trying to activate (2019, 2018, ...). Please read the email with your license details carefully!

- The serial number version 2019 starts with a U

- The serial number version 2018 starts with a T

- The serial number version 2017 starts with an S

- The serial number version 2016 starts with an R

- The serial number version 2015 starts with a Q

- The serial number version 2014 starts with a P

- The serial number version 2013 starts with an N

- The serial number version 8 starts with an M

- The serial number version 7 starts with an L

- The serial number version 6 starts with a K

- The serial number version 5 starts with a J

- The serial number version 4 starts with an I

- The serial number version 3 starts with a G

- The serial number version 2 starts with an F

2.  You are offline: You must have a working internet connection during authorization.

3.  You do not have sufficient permissions: Right-click on the SketchUp Pro icon and choose Run as Administrator (Windows). On Mac, make sure you actually drag SketchUp Pro from the disk image to your Applications folder!

4.  Internet ports 80, 8080, 443, 5053, and 50530 are closed on your network: open them in your firewall.

5.  You are not allowed to access the domain *.sketchup.com: create an exception for this in your firewall.

6.  You are not allowed to access the domain *.google.com: create an exception for this in your firewall.

7.  There are problems with your browser. SketchUp Pro borrows the browser on your system for some functions, which is always Internet Explorer on Windows and Safari on Mac, even if you use a different one as default:

- Update Internet Explorer or Safari to the latest version;

- Make Internet Explorer or Safari your default browser (at least for a while);

- Activate Java on your system;

- Lower the security settings for Internet access on your system;

- Clear the browser cache for Internet Explorer or Safari;

- Clear browser cookies for Internet Explorer or Safari;

8.  You are using a Proxy: There is no solution at this time as proxies are not supported.
