Since version 2023.1 there is an extra option in LayOut. This feature is technically an improvement, but in some cases leads to a very slow export or crashing of LayOut.
The option can be found in File > Document Setup > Rendering > Output Override
Until version 2023.0, if you wanted to present a SketchUp viewport in Vector or Hybrid format, you had to set this for each viewport individually, and you also had to wait a long time when updating such a viewport.
In version 2023.1 and later, one can choose to convert all viewports at once, only during export, to hybrid or vector format. When editing the document, one then works in raster format, which works very fast.
However, the waiting is then only postponed, not adjusted. During work it goes fast, during export it goes slower than before.
So this feature can be useful if you want to use it, but it is also enabled by default .
So it could very well be that one does not want to use the function, but simply has not discovered that it exists and therefore accidentally has it turned on. In general, I advise customers to turn the function off.
