Aliased models

LayOut displays content exactly as it will appear on printed paper. This allows you to adjust the quality within LayOut, similar to how you would with a printer. Increasing the rendering quality will make your SketchUp models appear less jagged. To improve the quality in LayOut, follow these steps:

1. Click File > Document Setup.

2. In the left pane, click Rendering.

3. Select a setting from Display or Output Resolution to increase the resolution if your current quality is too low.

Display Resolution

This controls the sharpness of what you see on your screen.

Output Resolution

This refers to the quality of your exports to PDF and printed documents.

If your Output Resolution still doesn't provide enough sharpness, you can use Output Override. (Keep in mind this only works on raster viewports.) It sharpens the lines of a raster by changing the output to a Vector or Hybrid view.

Please note: If you don't have a high-end PC, using this last feature can significantly slow down your export process, so think carefully before enabling it!
