Can I share files with employees/customers who do not have a SketchUp subscription?

Sketchup Viewer

Sketchup Viewer for Desktop and SketchUp Mobile Viewer ( Apple iOS | Android ) allow others to view the models you share with them, whether they have access to SketchUp or notBoth are available for free, but the AR capabilities require a subscription or an in-app purchase on mobile.

Please note: As of April 22, 2025, SketchUp Viewer will no longer be available for download, and support for it will also cease. Also be aware that it will not be available anymore at store since 29e August 2025+. Trimble Connect is a good alternative.

Trimble Connect

Trimble Connect Yes. With Trimble Connect, you can share individual files with anyone, even third parties who are not Trimble Connect users, simply by sending a link. However, third parties can only view and download shared files, not edit them in Trimble Connect.

Link Sharing

You can share a link to any model published in Trimble Connect. Users can then view the model in SketchUp for the web.

Please note: Link Sharing only works with models published to Trimble Connect.

Trimble Connect Visualizer & VR

Trimble Connect Visualizer is a Trimble Connect Workflow Extension that allows you to easily share designs.
