What are named licenses

Named licenses are personal, assigned licenses. They are ideal for individual users or team members who require full-time access to their Chaos products.

You can use your Chaos product with a named license on any device by logging in with your Chaos account. You can manage your license and account through the My Chaos portal.

Named licenses are also practical for teams where users need dedicated access to the software. In this case, each license must be assigned to the specific user who will be using the product.

Previously, these were sold as Fixed seat licenses, which have now been replaced by Named User Licensing.

This new model allows users to log in and access their Chaos products from any device of their choice.

Activating the License

1. Run the installer from Chaos
   Choose install(Cloud recommended) or Use LicenseServer
   
2. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so to activate your product.
   
   
   
3. Enter your account details (Chaos account) or create a new account if you don't have one.
   
4. Once successfully logged in, you can start using your Chaos products.
   
   When using a Named license, please ensure that you have assigned the product to your email address. 
   Adding license
