Error: "You can continue to use SketchUp, but you will not be allowed to start a new file or open an existing file"

Every 28 days you will need to sign in and out of SketchUp. We usually see this error message when your program has not been running for a while. Signing out and back in should fix it. You can do this by going to [menu] Help > Sign out or by Clicking the person icon in the welcome screen:

Tip: If you are planning to take your laptop on holiday and you are not sure whether you have an internet connection, log out and back in and you will be good to go for another 28 days!
