Q: Do I need to uninstall the old version before updating SU Podium?
- YES, uninstall first - If you are updating to a new SU Podium version within the same SketchUp version. For example, if you have installed SU Podium V2.5 in SketchUp 2019 and are upgrading to SU Podium V2.6 - still in SketchUp 2019 - you must uninstall V2.5 before installing the new version.
- NO, you don't need to uninstall - If you update within a new SketchUp version, you don't need to uninstall SU Podium from the old version. For example, if you have SU Podium V2.6 installed in SketchUp 2019 and you are migrating to SketchUp 2020, you do not need to uninstall SU Podium from SketchUp 2019.
- Deactivate your Podium license before updating SketchUp! For example, if you update from SketchUp 2020 to 2021, you must deactivate the SU Podium license in SketchUp 2020, otherwise the old version counts as one of your two active installations. Go to Extensions > SU Podium V2.6 > License to open the license manager.
