6. Does V-Ray Next for SketchUp work in SketchUp Free?
No, because SketchUp Free does not support extensions.
7. Does V-Ray 3.x for SketchUp work in SketchUp Pro 2019?
No, it works up to and including SketchUp Pro 2018.
8. I still have V-Ray 2 for SketchUp, can I also upgrade to Next?
Unfortunately not, version 2 is no longer supported.
9. I would like to keep my dongle during an upgrade, is that possible?
Yes, you can keep it, but the license for V-Ray Next for SketchUp is always online. So you cannot use the dongle for V-Ray Next for SketchUp.
10. When am I entitled to a free upgrade?
Anyone with an active rental license or educational license (expiry date in the future) is entitled to a free upgrade to V-Ray Next for SketchUp. If you have a full license V-Ray 3.x. for SketchUp after December 1, 2018, you are also entitled to a free upgrade.
11. I have an active rental/educational license. Will I receive the upgrade automatically?
Yes, it will be automatically added to the known Chaos Group account.
12. I am entitled to a free upgrade of my full license. Will I receive the upgrade automatically?
No, this upgrade is on request. You can contact your reseller for this.
