How does Veras licensing work? Do I need to log in? Is it tied to the Chaos License Server?

Modified on Wed, 23 Jul at 12:42 PM

Veras uses Chaos's unified licensing system. You access your rights by logging in with your Chaos account when prompted within the product. Licenses can be named (assigned to a specific user account—usable from any machine, one at a time) or floating (shared pool; first come, first served). Floating seats can be provisioned via Chaos's cloud-based floating model (recommended) or via a locally deployed Chaos License Server if your IT department prefers on-premises license management. In either case, users authenticate via their Chaos account to obtain a license.
