Filled shapes change

Modified on Wed, 13 Nov at 3:12 PM

All shapes in LayOut have default display settings, which can be changed in the Shape Style dialogue box. These settings are colours, fills, lines, (pen) strokes and line types. For example, if you want a circle without a fill, you can follow these steps:

1. Select the Circle tool.

2. Create a circle in your document.

3. Choose the Select tool.

4. Click the circle you just created.

5. Click the Shape Style dialogue box.

6. Turn off the Fill option.

You can also experiment with other display settings, such as colour, line colour, line type, line thickness and transparency.

If you change the settings for drawing shapes, the settings will be applied to the new shapes. The settings do reset when you restart LayOut.
