Help, my Chaos Cosmos Browser isn't working anymore.

Is the Chaos Cosmos Browser Service  enabled?


to validate whether your Chaos Cosmos Browser Service is running, go to your Windows Settings -> Apps -> Startup.


Check if the service is enabled.




If this is not the case, it is recommended to turn it on and also set it to start automatically. You do this by following these steps: In the search bar below, type Chaos Cosmos Browser.



Then, stop the Chaos Cosmos Browser and subsequently restart the Chaos Cosmos Browser as an administrator.



If you receive this message, check if you have the latest version of Chaos Cosmos installed.

Make use of a firewall?


See if  the following ports are open, they should be on the whitelist.


Working with a proxy?

Check if everything is set correctly.

Is your configuration set correctly?

1. Go to this pc open your C: disk.

2. Go to  Program Files -> Common Files -> ChaosGroup -> Chaos Cosmos

3. Open the Config file with a texteditor.


please note: Only adjust it if you know what it does. If it's empty, contact your reseller!


If this above solutions don't work, reset your Chaos Cosmos

1. Stop your Chaos Cosmos Browser.

2. Go to  %LOCALAPPDATA%\Chaos\Cosmos\DB and delete cpkg.db and cpkg.meta files. 

please note: These are hidden files.

You can copy the following   %LOCALAPPDATA%\Chaos\Cosmos\DB and paste this in the searchbar, press Enter.


Now you see the files which you want to delete. 


Please note: Delete only cpkg.db and cpkg.meta



3. Start Chaos Cosmos Browser again.


If none of these solutions works, please contact your Reseller!




MAC


Is the Chaos Cosmos Browser Service on?


Go to  Finder -> GO -> Utilities and  open je Activity app. see if the  cbservice is running.



If the  cbservice.bin  isn't running see the following path below:

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Chaos/Cosmos/DB


Please note: Library is a hidden file. See below, how to make this visible!



Please note: Delete only cpkg.db and cpkg.meta


Now your cbservice.bin should run automatically again.


Still not running the cbservice.bin  file? Please contact your Reseller!


If you get this message, check to see if you have the latest version of Chaos Cosmos installed.
